About Us

Private, Christian Education in Searcy, Arkansas

Liberty Christian partners with families to provide a Christ-centered, academically challenging education, emphasizing Christian values and character, while cultivating and nurturing leaders to impact the world for Jesus Christ.

Through the passion and persistent dedication of many families and individuals, Liberty has increasingly become a highly respected school, providing outstanding education to hundreds of students over the years. We remember our beginnings with a genuine attitude of appreciation for those who had a vision to begin a private, completely independent, Christian school in Searcy. It is with humble hearts that we have seen that vision develop and evolve, and we are truly blessed to have reached this milestone in our history.

Optimal Student-Teacher Ratio

Our small class sizes help to foster effective learning, engagement, and overall student success. Our parents enjoy the fact that our teachers can more quickly discover and key into each child’s needs and learning styles.

Accelerated Curriculum

Our students are offered a challenging curriculum that gives them a strong foundation for a lifetime of learning.

Competitive Tuition

We work hard to keep our rates low and accessible to families. An investment in your child’s education is an investment in their spiritual, social, and emotional development that will pay dividends throughout their life!

20+ Years of Education

Our History

1998

The Beginning

Liberty Christian School was the vision of a small, but dedicated, group of homeschool parents who desired a school where their children could grow – both academically and spiritually. They approached the leadership committee of Christian Life Church of Searcy, who agreed with their mission. Thus, Liberty Christian School was founded in the fall of 1998. The school offered its small student body a solid K-12 faith-based education.

Liberty Christian Incorporated

A five-person Board took over ownership and responsibility for the school and Liberty Christian School was officially incorporated! The following month, they began enrolling new students.

Liberty Gets a Home

The school received a blessing in the form of a new location that was both rent and utility-free. James Kidd, owner of Cornerstone Steel in Searcy, allowed the school to operate in an empty building on his lot. The new location opened in January of 2001, with a total of 27 students. The school became known for providing top-notch elementary education, leading to so many new enrollments that yet another location move became necessary – this time a more permanent one.

Liberty Expands

In the spring of 2002, a vote was made to buy the building on Benton Street, which is where Liberty Christian School remains to this day. Within a year, renovations were made to accommodate the growing student body – namely the addition of four classrooms and restrooms.

New Beginnings

The School Board with the help of a focus group of stakeholders began working on a refresh of the brand to help tell the school’s story in a way that will grow community’s awareness of the program and our student achievement, and to encourage other families to join the school in experiencing quality education in a nurturing environment. This rebrand is an ongoingprocess, stay tuned for updates!
